P. Franklin Hammersmith AKA Son of Ebert

Movies mean a lot to me,

so when the writer and self-styled “movie buff” asked me to come back to comment on his so-called “reviews,” I just couldn’t help but seize the chance to point out some of Victor DeMaisonneuve’s more glaring perceptual errors (If indeed that is his real name).

Victor’s reviews range from the ridiculous to the brain-dead. I mean, have you ever heard a grown man ramble on like that about Titanic? For shame! That movie was prosaic at best.

And to top it off he’s got some kind of insipid man crush on John Wayne. American hero… spare me – nothing but a gun-brandishing meathead mumbling stock lines and pre-fab gallantry.

Anyway, thanks for giving me another opportunity to review your work. Vic, you certainly got a lot of mileage out of my commentary. It’s worth checking out the book just for that.
